i think it’s got to be dilana at this point. I missed Toby tonight, but most of the guys are boring, even if they have the voice. Phil and Lukas = posers. That shows through pretty obviously. Bobblehead and the Kathleen turner affected voice thing. So it leaves Toby and Dilana. He brings in more groupies for the old guys in the band, but Dilana is probably the best blend of talent and performer.
If you truly think about what the Supernova dudes are looking for then Dilana has to be the pick. She has an outstanding presence on stage, has total control of her audience and her voice is very well suited to rock!

Kelly Clarkson was the hottest female rocker this year, but Storm Large has taken me by a whirlwind.
She out sings, is better looking, and has better stage presents than Kelly. Supernova would not be wise to let this one get away. She is the best female vocalist in the competition. Rock with stong lead guitar are coming back in strong this year and with Storm in front of Supernova, it give me cold chills.
In the 80’s it was Pat Benetar and Heart. Now it will be Supernova with Storm. ARE YOU READING THIS SUPERNOVA. If Supernova has to have a guy, which all my friends think Supernova will do, Lucas is the best male vocalist. The band would be good with Lucas, but even he knows he is outmatched by Storm. Watch Lucas when everyone else performs, he doesn’t flinch. But he sure takes notice when Storm gets up there.
I cannot believe Zayra is even on this show she sucks!!!! I will not continue to watch the show with her on it – I cannot believe she has stayed week after week – she should be performing with Celine Dion

OK….saw the show last night and I must say Storm did a great job. Only 2 people are really in the running, the rest r just making up the numbers. It just depends if the band want a guy from Toronto or a South African chick to front the band. Personally I think the will go for a guy, as think it’s more their style. Either way both these performers are going to end up with a decent deal from someone.

Hey the top 3 will be Storm at the top Dilana and Lucas the rest do not have what it takes to be in front of Tommy. but even of these three I truely think that Storm will out rock them all.
As for my opinions of everyone else… Lucas is a wannabe and for lack of a better word, a poser. Zayra, I can’t understand a damn thing you are saying. Dilana is cool, and everyone else is alright. But Storm is THE BEST!!!

I too love Dilana! She has the rocker voice!!! and I love her look as well, she truly looks like a rocker and her personality matches her look! I would like to meet her someday! Storm is Pretty. Almost too pretty. She would definitely have all the guys after her. She has a beautiful voice! I just don’t know what Supernova is really looking for. BUT I DO KNOW ONE THING, IF ONE OF THESE LADIES DOESN’T WIN… I WILL NOT LISTEN TO SUPERNOVA!!! Everyone else is a joke. they have talent, even Zayra… but they are not at the level of Storm and Dilana!!! They will make it to the end, it’s just up to the guys to pick the LADY! Just diferent flavors of the music which I find so delicious. I never said they were heavy metal. I hear STORM refers to her music as death metal. Any body know about that?

Does the show only allow cover tunes? I ‘d like to see STORM do some of ther originals like Ima Yora.(might be to racy for prime time) I kept kickin myself after I made my last post for not suggesting JJ’s Ball N Chain or Queens Bohemian Rhapsody.(as if anybody important is listening) I keep trippin on how STORM reminds me of a giant blond Janice Joplin. I was thinkin Piece of My Heart would be a good piece to do but Ball and Chain fits Storm so much better it would be definately be greater. Either one would be great gut B&C has the edge. Anybody who can pull off Bohemian Rhapsody is a truely masterful vocalist. The only problem with the rhapsody is its length and complexity might take a bit of time and practise to master and too much time to perform on the show. I feel Stormy could do it if she wanted to, she is that talented. Even if she didn’t use it on the show it’d be a great addition to her repertoire. I get the distinct impression the boys are worried that Storm might upstage them, she is that good. But I see her as trying to work with them very sincerely. She toned down the stage theatrics for Changes, apparently at their request. As for Dilana, she’s good, but its so obvious and plain to see that STORM has greater talent, stage presence, charisma, sensitivuity, soul, wit and humour. I’m investing heavily in umbrellas raincoats and rubbers because I see STORM Large sweeping the nation.
Storm PUHLEASE don’t forget your sf-bay roots when yove found your fame and fortune. Bring Tommy, Gilby and Jason around to our San Jose HP Pavillion. Storm did an amazing job this evening and performed the hell out of a song that’s not even in her range. She’s a dynamo! It’s very obvious that “the band” is trying to get rid of her. Dilana’s original song was by far the best of the 5 because her soul shone through the song that I felt part of that. Gilbys detail thing is his opinion, but, the best song writers always attend to the detail. Dilana always moves me like the great female singers did and do. Joplin, Grace Slick, Stevie Nicks, etc. are performers that all had witch hunts and still shone above the rest (male and female). Dilana is the most equipped to front a band like Supernova, her voice is right on for the gutsy rock and she consistantly does something differant to and for the song that allows audience interest and applause. Bravo Dilana! You are the Nova!
Sorry Storm fans…it was sad to see her go away but ya have to admit that her attempt at “Wish You Were Here” was very lame. She has way more talent then that and possibly could have saved herself but that performance, combined with her hitting the bottom 3 as many times as she had she had to go.

Any song that could make a guy from Metallica cry is something. I think Storm knew she was going home and took it as an opportunity to drop the facade of this stupid show and do something that was just for her and her fans. This show is all about marketing SN. I think the Nova dudes know who they want and have for a long time. Storm is an amazing performer. Her songs, her sense of humor, her swagger…She already is a star. SN could have had something great and fun with her. But oh well. Pick Toby or Magni or Lucas and fade into dinosaur obscurity of been-there-done-that. But Storm did win the competition. When the show’s namesake band admits on national tv that they would be Storm’s backup band anytime, they effectively admitted their inferiority to her. Lucas is horrible. He can’t sing, but looks the part. Supernova was worried if they picked Toby that he would pull all of the ass! He also was much better looking and would have stolen the few rays of spot light that they have left. So, a bunch of has-beens picked a crapy lead singer and will probably have to cancel half of their tour dates because nobody is going to go. I am looking forward to seeing where Toby ends up. As someone who has been around since Mick Jagger, Roger Daltry and Jim Morrison were fronting their bands in the 60’s, Lukas has given 2 of the best lead singer performances I have seen in 40 years. He never ceases to amaze me. Aare there better singers probably but then I never really thought Mick was a great singer either. It’s not just the voice, even thought I love his rasp, it’s the ability to capture the audience’s attention. Lukas has it. Great choice and I would taken Toby next

Ok lets be real – Who expects this band to last more then 2 years. I was sort of excited to see Lukas get picked because so far the original music we have seen performed by Supernova sucks and has no real potential for radio play or marketability. I am glad to see that Toby, Dilana, and Ryan got voted off because I want to see them succeed and think they have the best potential to front a band. Nothing against Lucas (I am sure he is a nice guy) but he’s not lead singer material.
Reallly, it doesn’t matter whom SN chose to be their lead. All this talk about the whole thing being “rigged” is amusing, and people should just get a life. It was their [SN's] show; they can choose whomever they please. Just because they possibly had decided early in the season who would be their front, so what??? They, in the meantime, provided us with a summer~long of outstanding rock performances. OK….saw the show last night and I must say Storm did a great job. However, if you recall the comments made after Dilana performed, “we are looking for someone who is comfortable in front of us and you showed you could handle that!”…well there ya have it. These shows always surprize me but Dilana proves time & time agin she is the one to front SuperNova!

Only 2 people are really in the running, the rest r just making up the numbers. It just depends if the band want a guy from Toronto or a South African chick to front the band. Personally I think the will go for a guy, as think it’s more their style. Either way both these performers are going to end up with a decent deal from someone.

I am 55 and havent gone clubbin for 10 or more yrs but she had he stuf tomake me wanna. i was devastated to find she had moved up north. now that i’ve found she is on rockstar i am ecstatic for her. there are some really great women rockers out there like raitt shakira benetar cher carey etc. and of course jj storm i think you are in that catagory. you are wildly more classy and talented then jj ever was. please don’t f up and die like she did.

i’ve played trumpet on the streets as a busker for 15 yrs now and have a repertoire of over 2,000 tunes and growing. i know it is insane and chances are slim to none it aint ever gonna happen but if u ever needed a horn player i’d do it for free. i’ve created an email stormymail@rentabozo.com just in case you actually do communicate with your fans. i know this much i won’t waste a dime or any time on supernova unless you end up fronting them.

As for my opinions of everyone else… Lucas is a wannabe and for lack of a better word, a poser. Zayra, I can’t understand a damn thing you are saying. Dilana is cool, and everyone else is alright. But Storm is THE BEST!!!

I agree that Storm has talent and she “could” front those guys but my vote has to be with Dilana. Her stage presence is stronger and more of a fit for SuperNova! Storm will be a succcess either way and so will Dilana but I think she will prevail in the end.

I too love Dilana! She has the rocker voice!!! and I love her look as well, she truly looks like a rocker and her personality matches her look! I would like to meet her someday! Storm is Pretty. Almost too pretty. She would definitely have all the guys after her. She has a beautiful voice! I just don’t know what Supernova is really looking for. BUT I DO KNOW ONE THING, IF ONE OF THESE LADIES DOESN’T WIN… I WILL NOT LISTEN TO SUPERNOVA!!! Everyone else is a joke. they have talent, even Zayra… but they are not at the level of Storm and Dilana!!! They will make it to the end, it’s just up to the guys to pick the LADY! Either one could make it without Supernova, but Dilana will need some strong guys behind her, because I think most people would get lost playing with her!

yep in my mind shakira cher and carey are rockers heavy metal, disco, poprock, rockabilly, texacano, reggae, hiphop, cRAP, psycedelic, soul and r&b its all rocknroll to me. Just diferent flavors of the music which I find so delicious. I never said they were heavy metal. I hear STORM refers to her music as death metal. Any body know about that?

Does the show only allow cover tunes? I ‘d like to see STORM do some of ther originals like Ima Yora.(might be to racy for prime time) I kept kickin myself after I made my last post for not suggesting JJ’s Ball N Chain or Queens Bohemian Rhapsody.(as if anybody important is listening) I keep trippin on how STORM reminds me of a giant blond Janice Joplin. I was thinkin Piece of My Heart would be a good piece to do but Ball and Chain fits Storm so much better it would be definately be greater. Either one would be great gut B&C has the edge. Anybody who can pull off Bohemian Rhapsody is a truely masterful vocalist. The only problem with the rhapsody is its length and complexity might take a bit of time and practise to master and too much time to perform on the show. I feel Stormy could do it if she wanted to, she is that talented. Even if she didn’t use it on the show it’d be a great addition to her repertoire. I get the distinct impression the boys are worried that Storm might upstage them, she is that good. But I see her as trying to work with them very sincerely. She toned down the stage theatrics for Changes, apparently at their request. As for Dilana, she’s good, but its so obvious and plain to see that STORM has greater talent, stage presence, charisma, sensitivuity, soul, wit and humour. I’m investing heavily in umbrellas raincoats and rubbers because I see STORM Large sweeping the nation.
Storm PUHLEASE don’t forget your sf-bay roots when yove found your fame and fortune. Bring Tommy, Gilby and Jason around to our San Jose HP Pavillion. Dilana is a one-dimentional singer. She has no clear, sweet, melodic side to her vocals. It’s all gruff.
Storm has the VOICE, is dazzling to watch and would add a touch of class to Supernova.

i truly admire storm…she is such a strong, powerful woman. she does things HER way, and i think even without supernova, she will do great things. in fact, i hope she DOESN’T get the spot with supernova so she can do her own thing which i hope to see a lot more of.

Storm did an amazing job this evening and performed the hell out of a song that’s not even in her range. She’s a dynamo! It’s very obvious that “the band” is trying to get rid of her. They went out of their way to praise EVERY other performance and thanked Toby for “helping her out.” Please! I’ve got news for the Supernova boys; SHE NEEDS NO HELP! I can assure you that her talent supersedes this flash-in-the-pan show. I thought they we being transparent and tacky! It was sad to see. I wanted to reach my hand through the television screen and slap the sister the five, she deserved.

What a performance last night. The response from Dave was ridiculous. It is apparent they do not want Storm and for some reason want to make it appear her performances aren’t good enough. Give me a break. Dave – your losing credibility every week you bash Storm.
She is awesome. Her performance last night was insane. I have a hard time putting it to words.
She is smart enough to know her days are numbered. I am afraid she will be the next to go. When that happens, I am sure it will not be the last we see of her.
I agree with everyone that Storm is great, but I love Dilana as well. I feel that Storm could do great on her own or with a band and Dilana needs a hard rocking band behind her. The guys are okay but from the begining of the show I though the women stood out. I am excited to see a woman win this year and if a woman does not win it is because Super Nova has no intention of having a woman cove their band.
Dilana needs to win this! I said this weeks ago. Those who are Storm fans will see her rockin’ somewhere else. She’s good but doesn’t have the needed talent for this gig. As for the guys well at least they are stepping up thier performances each week which could benefit them later in in life.

Dilana’s original song was by far the best of the 5 because her soul shone through the song that I felt part of that. Gilbys detail thing is his opinion, but, the best song writers always attend to the detail. Dilana always moves me like the great female singers did and do. Joplin, Grace Slick, Stevie Nicks, etc. are performers that all had witch hunts and still shone above the rest (male and female). Dilana is the most equipped to front a band like Supernova, her voice is right on for the gutsy rock and she consistantly does something differant to and for the song that allows audience interest and applause. Bravo Dilana! You are the Nova!

Sorry Storm fans…it was sad to see her go away but ya have to admit that her attempt at “Wish You Were Here” was very lame. She has way more talent then that and possibly could have saved herself but that performance, combined with her hitting the bottom 3 as many times as she had she had to go.

I think Storm knew she was going home and took it as an opportunity to drop the facade of this stupid show and do something that was just for her and her fans. This show is all about marketing SN. I think the Nova dudes know who they want and have for a long time. Storm is an amazing performer. Her songs, her sense of humor, her swagger…She already is a star. SN could have had something great and fun with her. But oh well. Pick Toby or Magni or Lucas and fade into dinosaur obscurity of been-there-done-that. But Storm did win the competition. When the show’s namesake band admits on national tv that they would be Storm’s backup band anytime, they effectively admitted their inferiority to her. Besides, a supernova is really at the end of a star’s life. Storm’s star is just coming of age.

Lucas is horrible. He can’t sing, but looks the part. Supernova was worried if they picked Toby that he would pull all of the ass! He also was much better looking and would have stolen the few rays of spot light that they have left. So, a bunch of has-beens picked a crapy lead singer and will probably have to cancel half of their tour dates because nobody is going to go. I am looking forward to seeing where Toby ends up. Some talented band is going to pick him up and make it big. Good luck Toby and too bad for those has-been left over band members Supernova.
I really believe that they were concerned about being upstaged by Toby. They are tired OLD dudes who still have huge egos and think that they are still relevant.

As someone who has been around since Mick Jagger, Roger Daltry and Jim Morrison were fronting their bands in the 60’s, Lukas has given 2 of the best lead singer performances I have seen in 40 years. He never ceases to amaze me. Aare there better singers probably but then I never really thought Mick was a great singer either. It’s not just the voice, even thought I love his rasp, it’s the ability to capture the audience’s attention. Lukas has it. Great choice and I would taken Toby next

Ok lets be real – Who expects this band to last more then 2 years. I was sort of excited to see Lukas get picked because so far the original music we have seen performed by Supernova sucks and has no real potential for radio play or marketability. I am glad to see that Toby, Dilana, and Ryan got voted off because I want to see them succeed and think they have the best potential to front a band. Nothing against Lucas (I am sure he is a nice guy) but he’s not lead singer material.
Reallly, it doesn’t matter whom SN chose to be their lead. All this talk about the whole thing being “rigged” is amusing, and people should just get a life. It was their [SN's] show; they can choose whomever they please. Just because they possibly had decided early in the season who would be their front, so what??? They, in the meantime, provided us with a summer~long of outstanding rock performances. Where else have we been allowed to experience such an amazing diversity of quality rock music, from the Beatles to Hendrix to Johnny Cash to Jefferson Airplane? I thoroughly enjoyed it; thanks SN!!
