Rock Star SuperNova Finale – Lukas Rossi Wins
September 14, 2006hmmmm……. I really thought it would be between Toby & Lukas. Not surprised Lukas won, Toby would’ve brought in more fans though, in my opinion. Just reading thru some of the comments on this blog tells me some of you have some pretty strong opinions about Lukas winning.
For the sake of the band I hope they made the right decision, but I get the feeling many if not most Lukas Rossi fans are very very young.
I will keep following this as it will be interesting to see how they do now that Lukas is fronting the band.
They blew it! Watch all these people who bought their tickets asking for their money back. Lukas (aka arrogant mongoloid) is not original — he’s a copycat that everyone is already tired of. He’s got his Billy Idol and Mick Jagger impersonations down perfectly. I understand he’s now working on his Liza Minelli act.
I totally agree. If Lukas even had half the voice that the other contenders presented, then yes, it would have been a valid choice. Honestly, I am very disappointed that such veteran rockers would go with someone that im my opinion belongs in a Marily Manson freak show. Not a renound rock band. And if they chose based on fan votes, that is the bands mistake. Clearly, only younger generation people are the front runners for Text Voting and if that is the crowd that Supernova is going for, they will have it with Lukas. I personally grew up with all the band members when I was young. I will now disavow that I knew them…
I was disappointed that it wasn’t Dilana. It doesn’t matter though because after the 2 month tour Tommy Lee is going back to Motley Crue and who knows where the rest of them are going. They really missed out not picking Dilana
I was glad to read what I had been feeling. What a disappointment. how can not realize that he can’t sing? I really thought they were going to have the guts to pick a chick who was a real rocker. but after hearing their very average music (it sounds like robert palmer circa 1982) i guess they just don’t know any better. obviously the talent in matallica, MC and G&R were not on the stage this summer. God help Dilana if they actually follow through and produce her album. i won’t hold my breath…
I knew something was up when Magni was the first to go quickly followed by Toby. I was holding out that Dilana would be picked wanting to believe Super Nova knew what they were doing and had the guts to do it. I watched 90 persent of the shows and always found Lukas’s performances boring, the singing terrible and his off stage interaction with the others as arrogant. When they picked Lukas based on the results of the votes and not from their collective “rock” experience I guess they expect to be done touring by March.
O’kay so you rock buffs out there believe Lucas will only appeal to a younger audience. Get real. This awesomely talented Canadian, with an amazing voice got votes from all ages. I can vouch for that because my whole family voted ages from 19 – 60. So there!
Not cool at all…I go and spend money on tix to watch a real front man (Toby) and now I just get to watch him with the house band. Crap…just crap…Toby deserved so much more and now he is going to get it without them…Superwhatever their name is now good luck gilling the house becuase no one wants to see that kid run around on stage doing whatever he calls “singing”. the only reason I may still go to the show is to see the houseband and magni, delana, toby, and ryan…don’t even care about the band. never will i buy a cd from them…Toby when is the record hittin’ shelves!!! will follow you anywhere!
And one more thing…what was up with them running the Survivor ad with Lukas’ “headspin” song on it…gee let me think…that must have been a mistake or oh wait someone knew that this was the plan. that ad blew it for everyone…way to go cbs
I was so glad Lukas won! I love it! Come on give the band some credit they have been there! And for anyone out there thinking that Lukas only has really really young I am 37! He has fans everywhere!

I was shocked when LUKAS won. That guy gets on my nerves and i can’t stand his voice. Every i’ve talke to in my age range, from 30-38, who actual BUY music CD’s couldnt stand that guy either. I really thought Toby had the BEST voice and performances. I can’t believe that they didnt pick him! No way i’m gonna buy their CD with now.
Let me start off by saying I’m not a fan of Lukas’ voice.
That said, that’s subjective.
For the rest, Dilana was eliminated as she failed miserably in 2 tests… the media, and more importantly the song writing.
She was an emotional roller-coaster, not something you’re looking for in your lead singer.
I feel she’ll be better off on her own, with Gilby and Dave already having offered to be part of her album.
Toby took more than half the season to get going, he sucked through 2/3 before he finally picked his game up.
Also, his “shtick” was starting to get old near the end… go in the crowd, ask the crowd to sing a verse, the first couple of times I digged it… but it was starting to wear a little thin.
The house band mentioned he had a hard time hearing the melody in some songs, and the band had commented they didn’t like his arrangements but was making up for it with his “performance” as they put it.
I prefered Toby’s voice though.
Back to Lukas.
He performed well throughout, save one time, he did well in song-writing, did well with the press, listened when asked to “open” his voice and made it happen.
He’s a showman, and he has an “edge” which was what the band was looking for more than anything else as per Tommy’s comments.
I think they made the right choice, I only wish I like his voice.
I’ll follow all the top 4 and buy their music, I enjoyed all of them.
Lukas rox you guys are freaks who know nothing of real punk rock. Lukas is awsome and has great singing talent.
I am sooo disappointed that Toby did not win. What a loss for the fans, the band and him. I now have no real burning desire to see their concert. If I do go, it will be to see Toby, Magni, Dilana and the house band. Toby totally rocked the house whenever he was on stage. This is such a tradgety!!!

I really look forward to Dilana’s solo album too, but been listening to lukas in my car this morning.. what he can do with his voice is really amazing!!

The show was rigged (as evidenced by the poorly-timed Survivor commerical). Also, why would Tommy say that Lukas got the most votes, when at the beginning of the show, Dilana was the ONLY one who was not in the bottom three at any point in time? Sounds like a lie. Too bad we watched just about every show thinking that the outcome would actually be fair. We won’t be fooled again. Young Lukas goes with those guys like oil goes with water. Perhaps they were afraid Dilana would eclipse them…..Yes Tommy, the fans did choose …. but it was Dilana.
What a waste of time! Do they think the audience is stupid? If it was going to be a forgone conclusion, why did they put all the talented artists they DIDN’T pick through this? Lukas is an untalented, bad joke. I feel sorry for the people who bought tickets before they knew who the lead singer would be. I hope Dilana rocks the house and every one leaves after that – the house band is much better than Supernova anyway – that’s the only way they’ll get their money’s worth. Super Nova has proven that they are a bunch of burnt out rockers. And who the heck is Gilby Clark anyway? Dave, if you’re going to do another one of these, pick a band who knows what they’re doing.

I think toby should have won or even dilana, I think lukas looks more like their son, he is too young,and they r in their 40’s, they made a bad choice, and i dont think they r gonna be so big anyways,ppl forget this things really fast, especially with that choice, come on! lukas, even ryan or patrice were better than him, and his styleand sense of fashion does not match with supernova, I’m sad to hear that he won,in latinamerica we dont get to watch the final episode ’til sunday, so I looked for the winner hoping it was toby… bad!
Congrats Lukas! The best man won. Lukas is by far the whole package – perfect for the band. My husband and I are thrilled for him and wish him all the best.

Lukas is terrible, storm and dilana are the only real rock singers in the whole thing, can you say contrived , tv ratings are the only motivation not music, I wouldn’t buy that crap if it came with A free coffee. please, reallity? the album is soley for contractual obligation period. eat it up pablum munchers.
I am 33 and like Lukas. Age is not a factor in my opinion . I enjoyed his performances throughout the season. He has a unique voice. All performers were great but he is my favorite.
42 YEARS YOUNG! Not all of Lukas’ fans are kids…I am a beautiful 42 year old women. Perhaps it’s the older and more mature ones who truly recognize the reasons Super Nova chose him. Along with tremendous talent, he has depth, range, class and character. Come on people, don’t take this so seriously….it’s not our world.
Supernova [or whatever in the future] as I undserstand that name relates to a star that self distructs which you have already begun as you cannot use that name any way. The worlds largest rock base
is in Rio guys, as was evident by the Stones tour.
As an US Expat guy.. I observed the recation of all the hot bloodid latino women.. the only performers that got their blood boiling was Toby and Magni need I say no more. I would strongly suggest you change singers if you decided to tour down here
What a disapointing outcome! And who the hell is Gilby Clark anyway? Guns & Roses? I don’t remember that! Anyway, what a mistake these guys made in their choice of a lead singer last night! My personal opinion is they didn’t want to share the bus with a chick! Oh and yeah, what a way to have to start a tour by having to rename your band! The only thing that was tolerable about last night was the offer to help produce an album for Dilana, the uncrowned winner of this event.And while i’m at it, another unsung hero of the event I hope to hear from sometime in the future is Storm Large. Good luck to you also sweetheart. You gave it your all and I think you also delivered the goods!
I was also VERY disappointed Lucas won… I think that the BOOing when Toby was asked to leave was louder than the cheering for Lucas when he won… I will definately be buying Toby’s CD when it comes out!! Everyone I talked to in my age group 25-35 also wanted Toby to win…
I’m turning 30 next month and I think Lukas was, by far, the best choice for the band. Dilana was cool but would 3 grown men really want to be stuck on a tour bus with thier moody mother? Don’t get me wrong, she’s a great performer but not for them. Toby rocked out too but something was slightly off, like he smiled too much or something. When Lukas smiles you can almost hear him thinking. When he hits a certain note in a song, he’s stretching the word into something meaningful that clicks in your brain. When he’s singing, you can tell he’s been there and he gets what he’s sing about. That’s all. He’s just good and being good makes him hot. I don’t care if you’re 50.
Some people think that the voting was rigged because Dilana wasn’t in the bottom 2. Toby and Magni were in the bottom 2 at the end of voting, and that is why they both had to perform first. Dilana wasn’t in the bottom 2 at the end of the voting, but neither was Lukas. He ended up with the MOST votes overall. A lot of people wanted Toby or Dilana to win, but not me!!!They weren’t right for the band; they were trying so hard to fit but Lukas just does.
Lukas was the absolute best choice. He will bring young fans but he also appeals to us dinosaurs. My husband and I are in our 50s and we chose him from the first episode. The guy has talent, charisma, class, versatility, range and composure. His voice is amazing and he has an edge to his personal style that plays off the garage band/metalhead old guys he’s fronting. Dilana was talented but a screamer and too emotionally unstable to win. My god had they picked her, she would have certainly tormented them with emotional BS. Toby was good but never solid until the last episodes and then as someone mentioned, his schtick got old. Ryan had the same problem. Magni was great but there was some indefinable something about him that said “dated” – I felt that before one of SuperNova said he reminded them of a Vegas act. Bottom line was that those old rockers needed young exciting blood and they got it with Lukas. I’m thrilled and wish I had bet because I would have won along with him.
Ditto. I knew Lukas was the one from the very first show. I don’t know how anyone can say that he’s not talented. Toby was cute but he reminded me of a frat boy trying to rock. Dilana and Lukas were the only two I “believed.” The rest were trying to look like rockers. I have played music my whole life. I can tell you that Lucas has talent. His singing is good and his stage presence is awesome. Anyone notice that he went to a performing arts school growing up? I thought that was interesting. He may not have as good of a voice as Dilana, but he fits the band. A girl heading the band? No way. I knew they wouldn’t choose her.
Those aging rockers needed a face-lift and Toby was their only hope. He was a girl magnet and they really lost out. Lukas sounds the same every song and he will not appeal to their older fans.
As happy as I am that Lukas won it would’ve been interesting to see Dilana front the band . But obviously Gilby, Jason and Tommy saw some thing you musically challened ass holes did not I thought and if you’sd see him out side of Ythe show Lukas is far from arrogant mongoloid he’s very humbled and he appreciates the opportunity. for God sakes JD last year was 100% more arrogant then Lukas

Lukas was the BEST choice for this gig. He was the COMPLETE package. Great voice, great showmanship and great musicianship – great instrument playing (left-handed even!), excellent and unique arrangements of covers and of course, stellar songwriting skills. NONE of the others had ALL of those skills…and every one of the eliminated rockers said that he was the best choice – even Dilana said it! So all you Lukas haters out there – GET A LIFE!!! You wouldn’t know what real talent is if it bit you on the ass!!!

We are aged between 4 and 40 and there are 7 of us in this family and we thought lukas was the winner from day 1 he has an edge, you get fed up of the norm lets have something a bit different and he definitely is including his voice, has anyone listened to his songs he sang with his last band they are awesome. We just wish he was coming to New Zealand with his band supanova, never mind…
Lukas was sooo wrong for the band. He cannot sing and he has no talent at all. When he performs(or whatever he’s doing), running all over the stage, he looks like he’s going to die. Tommy Lee said that they were going to pick who the fans wanted. YEAH RIGHT! If they would have listend to the fans in the audience, the majority was screaming for Toby! DUH! He was the best choice!

Toby and Dilana were versitile performers, therefore either of them should have won. Lukas is a mediocre singer with no real star power, good luck to supernova, because now they need all the luck they can get.
I was very disapointed when Lukas was chosen….I was rooting for Toby. I can watch the clip of Toby’s Karma Police for hours, and I watched every episode of the show. [Magni, Ryan, and Storm were also great] I buy lots of current music,attend many concerts,and was really looking forward to Supernova. Not with Lukas….you lost a fan

I can’t believe that skunk boy won, it makes me ashamed to be a Canadian. I had no idea that our gene pool was that shallow. Clearly Toby Rand was a better choice from audiance reaction, he also had the best original song. Really you make my Headspin how ‘ bout you make my Stomach Turn. As for Supernova what the hell were they thinking? at least Tommy Lee has an excuse with the drug use and all, but for the other three including Navarro they must be deaf dumb and blind. I too cannot wait for the CD to come out, then Skunk Boy will have enough money to finish his operation to fully become a female, who knows she may become the new Mrs Tommy Lee we all know how Tommy likes those Canadian girls, just ask Pamela.

I’m happy that Lukas won, he really was the bast man for the job. He writes songs, sings well, listens to advice, stands out and speaks intelligently. I mean, the whole emotional roller coaster thing with Dilana was getting old……
As for Toby, when I heard his original song, all I could think of was a bunch of guys chuggingg beer in some bar and chanting along to that song. Besides, did anyone notice that he looked more like Lukas every week? The hair, the makeup……?

I have to say, people out there need some serious mental help. How can you be so disappointed… he was a contestant all along, so obviously the possibility was there. I am a Lukas fan, but also admired other contestant’s talent… I thought Storm and Dilana were both rocking chicks, and Toby, Ryan and Magni were all talented musicians. The fact is, if you had been watching, Lukas simply brought more to the competition from the beginning. It is impossible to deny that during the clinics, his talent at writing and willingness to perform anything was amazing. I also admire that he did not feel that he had to jump in the crowd and up in front of supernova to showcase that he was right for them. Not to knock the others, I enjoyed watching them.
To those who are so very upset with the outcome that they are boycotting the band… grow up! You shouldn’t have wasted your time watching the show, get over it. You have to respect their choice, and stop hating because you didn’t get your way.
i wont say anything negative about the bands choice,i will simply wait with bated breath to see if their decision pays off.i hoped toby or dilana would win,but they’ll succeed anyway,i think i must have missed parts of lucas’s performances that other people saw,but i’m sure watched the show like a hawk,it’s amazing how we can all have such different perceptions of what music is.

Jason Newstead’s former band, Metallica, had a hit entitled “For Whom The Bell Tolls”. What transpired yesterday was, for all intents and purposes, the bell tolling the death of hard rock music as we know it. When Supernova chose Lukas Rossi to be the lead singer of their fledgling project they sent a loud and clear message to the world that style, boisterous antics, and pomposity trump singing ability, song writing talent, and a team oriented spirit – traits that the other contestants had plenty of.
I doubt seriously that Supernova’s decision was solely based on voter turnout. I think they merely used that as an excuse to placate those, who having good taste, would have chosen Toby, Dilana, or Magni over the Tasmanian Devil. Supernova’s decision was in a sense a microcosm of what is wrong with music today. They in essence capitulated to the new trend in music that is so predominate in our era. If you look drugged out, behave spastically, and have an aloof air about you, your chances of being a star are greater than if you are a normal person with outstanding instrumental virtuosity, great vocal range, and superb song writing ability.
The vocal brilliance of Robert Plant, Steve Perry, David Coverdale, and Freddie Mercury of yesteryear are now replaced by the whinny growls of angst ridden 20 somethings. The illuminating lyrics of U2, Pink Floyd, and the Police, that shed light on the human condition, are now supplanted by the nihilism and self-loathing of a breed of musicians who are too self-absorbed to speak of anything other than themselves. The phenomenal dexterity and melodic creativity of guitarists like Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, and Jimmy Page are now marginalized in favor of no talent hacks that clumsily compose and perform every banal song with two or three cords.
Hard rock music is suffering from the same malady that our modern education system is suffering from – that of the tendency to dummy down everything to the lowest common denominator. Lucas Rossi’s victory over a superior vocalist such as Dilana; his win over a much more creative song writer like Toby; and his being chosen over a much more versatile instrumentalist like Magni is direct proof that our music is in fact regressing along with many other facets of our society. It’s no wonder that tripe like rap and hip-hop have pretty much monopolized the airwaves and topped the charts as of late. With the downfall of rock music being hastened with ascension of “artists” like Lukas, what else is left but to abandon the whole enterprise of music and revel in the mind numbing stupidity that is rap and hip-hop. There is a saying that states that all it takes for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing. Similarly, the only thing that is required for rap and hip-hop to win the hearts and minds of youngsters is for “rock stars” not to live up to their name.
The sad thing is Tommy Lee, Jason Newstead, and Gilby Clark were all at the zenith of their careers when rock music was at its apex back in the late 70’s and early to mid 80’s. Yes hair and flare was popular back then as well, but there was something substantive and laudable during that time period when real musicians used rule the radio. It’s sad that they have forgotten about their heyday, or have chosen to ignore it so they can sacrifice artistic integrity for business expedience. To choose that effeminate troll over three stellar musicians is repulsive. I don’t care how profitable he might be in the short run.
It brings me comfort that so many people on this forum and others still look back on the old days of hard rock fondly. I hope Supernova’s betrayal of the very fans that made each band member household names back in the 80s, will spell their own demise. I am looking forward to seeing their CDs in the discount bins at Walmarts and Targets around the country. I have been looking for some colorful coasters to rest my coffee mug on anyway. Who knows that crude, noisy, and juvenile alien that Supernova calls their lead vocalist can be used at Guantánamo or Abu Ghraib as a torture technique. Maybe Lukas’ growl can be beneficial after all.
I think Lukas Rossi was a really good person for the job of leading supernova. He looks like he has been apart of the band for years because he fits so perfectly. Also, he gives a sense of inspiration to Canadians and everyone out there. LUKAS GO SHOW EVERYONE WHAT CANADA HAS TO OFFER! WOO
it’s nice to see that the most intelligent people are against “skunk boy” i also think their choice is repulsive, but we can’t change history. we can only laugh as we watch the massive no talent bomb blow up in their faces. remember only creme and scum rise to the top.

I keep listening to “Be Yourself” by Toby and Luka, and there’s no way the Supernova new singer can make it to the level Toby does.
Showed the songs to people that don’t even know about the show at all (down in South America), and knowing nothing about contest or anything else, they chose Toby too. I guess it’s also fair to say that they didn’t look at his pic either, and they were men. In case someone says that his charm is just for girls.
I will be going to see him, and Supernova but its singer, cos I respect the other artists. I still wonder… what were they thinking?
Creo que dilana tiene algo que los demas no tienen y es un verdadero dominio de la tarima, y la colocacion de la voz es unico en ella que no es lo mismo que afinar, tobi es mas tenor que lukas, lukas usa mucho la garganta para cantar o sera que no sabe usar el diafragma, osea colocar la voz o impostarla eso al tiempo va a daña la voz de lukas, es verdad que tiene estilo y presencia pero eso se crea. pero debe cuidar su instrumento que tenga exictos y no se deje arratras por la fama.

Lukas rossi is part of the band, toby rand fronted it. The super nova boys didnt want toby to outshine them. When toby get on stage, you know that you’re about to see a performer not a singer, lukas is a singer. Lukas’ vocal talents are amazing, there’s no disputing that, but a front man isnt just a voice. A frontman is the energy of the band, the frontman is the first person the ENTIRE crowd focuses on, a front man takes control of the room , demands attention, and creates an atmosphere that only a rock frontman can. A singer gives the crowd something to listen to
Supernova didnt find a front man, they found a singer.
Lawrence Louis hit it rigt on the nose with his objective comments. I watched the show from the start and thought that Toby and Delana had all the right material to be fronting a rock band, wheras Lukas had nothing going for him at all. he can’t sing, he strangles the vocals something awful…hear one song, ya heard his entire set. awful. I recall back in week eight a spoiler going round that Lukas had ALREADY been selected. I got evenmore suspicous when only Delana wasn’t in the bottom three, yet suddenly Lukas was in the top two? Do me a favour.
As for the music. The more of Supernova’s material I heard, the more I thought “Brit Pop”. Except with an American slant – ie, totally misinterpreted. Bland bordering on banal. What became more intersting to listen/watch was the house bands reactions. They seemed really into playing with Toby and Magni and Delana, but did not look so happy performing with the mad muppet. So how come the main act found Lukas so in the frame? Beats me. The guy jumps around in an abysmal Scot weiland wannabe style, massacres every song he goes near and has the ‘presence’ of a karaoke night drunk. We know Delana was probab;ly the real winner, but I doubt the boys had the guts to go with someone so obviously right on the edge. Her performances were terric, gutsy, always pushing the envelope. Moreover, she displayed all the right qualities of a frontswoman and singer – unlike Lukas the Glam Rock Clone, who is neither. Maybe they thought Delana might be trouble off stage?
The overall feeliing at the end was one of being cheated, and to go by the comments hers and elsewhere on the web, i’m not the only one feeling that.
Me, i’m gonna go to see Delana and the House Band, and then leave. I hope Magni gets picked up by a good label soon, and I am sure Delanma and Toby will still be around long after this debacle has been (a;long with Mr Rossi) forgotten and consigned to the dustbin of publicity-over-content-and-style. A shame, a waste of time and talent. Head spin? That guy couldn’t spin a doughnut.
-.- Toby is a crowd pleaser, and while that was a smart move by him, I HATE his type of music. And Lukas copying Billy Idol, etc? How about Toby sounding EXACTLY like the Killers, Panic! at the Disco and Fall out Boy. I’m tired of having to listen to that fast paced (when words become blurred together and they sound drunk) ‘music of our era’. I’ll admit I like a few of those bands songs, but I can’t listen to it too much or I’d get a headache.
It just seemed that Magni and the others made the song their own, whereas Toby just imitated the voice. I noticed this especially after seeing him sing Mr. Brightside by the Killers, and they sound exactly the same. o.o Toby and Lukas weren’t hot (actually, Toby was very fat looking to me, and his eyeliner really looked creepy) and Lukas’ hair was crazy and he looks like a horse. So looks don’t really do it for me for either. xD If anything, Magni was the best looking of them all, and as for Dilana (though she looked like a druggy in the beginning) when she cleaned up a bit, she wasn’t ugly by any means.
xD I will admit, Lukas’ original (I heard his last) wasn’t nearly as memorable as Toby’s one, but Dilana’s was best in my opinion.
Now, I think that TLee and all the guys wanted to get into her pants (hey, they are men, c’mon now) but she wasn’t the best choice and I don’t think she could’ve fronted the band as well as any other. Dilana was a great choice (she’ll have a good career), she is a true rocker (loved the bit with her leg) but some people don’t like her type of voice.
Magni’s personality was a little flat, but he just bumped his career in Iceland, and he’ll be with his family. =D Lukas was a spaz on stage, and I loved that. xD As for being cocky, well, you don’t go to a concert to see someone talking offstage do you? I think that he prob had a record deal secured at some point, and was confident in that.
Lukas’ vocals aren’t bad but he as versatile (shown by his destroying nickelback, though they are tough to sing good) as Magni or Dilana, but his still had talent. Toby, Dilana and Lukas all had stage presence, and they will all get record deals, so it doesn’t matter who fronts the band does it?

As for gilby being gay, I got the gay vibe from tommy instead (O_O Right?! xD), though he is prob just a cool guy. Though, I thought I saw him trying to grab the guys’ asses when they went where the judges were, I don’t know what that was about. xD
I think that whole thing with the girls jumping on stage during toby’s performance was staged too, not ’spontaneous’ as the judges surmised. They were prob some of his groupies he got to jump on stage. What were the chances that they’d all have the ‘whatever’ sign on their hands? =/ Lukas was the most original.

Hit the nail on the head with that. Dilana was great, but I never saw it. It would be great for her, but to front that band I couldn’t imagine it, it would be a little too odd. Just didn’t feel right.
I think Toby should have won. I was quite dissappointed with the programme though, I am a MASSIVE motley crue fan and was hoping for something a bit better. I also love GNR though not a metallica fan. I liked Lukas but I think he is to immature for the band, he would be at the stage they were at a good few years ago, nearly killing themselves. If he matures a bit he should be fine though. I also think Magni was amazing, a great singer but don’t know if he’d fit into the band. Hopefully he will have a successfull career now though. I didn’t like Dilana, yes she was a great singer but came across as a stuck up bitch. I think she came across as worse than Lukas and more arrogant. But yes, I really do think Toby would have been the best choice, I love him! Nearly as much as I love Tommy (though I am a Nikki fan myself =P)
even though some of that is true, lukas fits in with the band more. i mean how he looks and how he sings, even his personality. thats why i think lukas won in my opinion.

Lukas is Canadian, any other reason required? Canadians rock from their heart. Anybody accusing him of copying other performers is used to boring performances by boring performers like 90% of the crap on mtv today so anything outside of boring must be copying someone.
I would never have paid to see any of the other performers and I would have paid to slap Storm across the ass because she deserves to reminded she’s a blond babe and not a man.

I thought it was great the lukas won, he was by far the most deserving to be the signer of the band, but his voice was so perfect live, that when i heard thier new CD, his voice is so modified and clean it seems unreal. so yah i dont like it…bye

truly the best and most fitting person was chosen to front BS, i mean RS… one wannabe fronting three hasbeens. could not have been a better outcome. No doubt they will provide many lacklustre performances showcasing their mediocre talent (as already has been the case). Now lets watch in complete disinterest as the Superduperpooperscoopers fade into well deserved obscurity.

I’m suprised that this forum is still going on. Oh well, at least I can thank the people who are on my side for sticking up for Lukas. I know people do not like him, but they don’t need to say that he’s a jerk, or that he’s an idiot, or any of that. I also don’t like it when people say that they want to kick him in the nads because that is very disrespectful, and very cruel. I watched in awe from South Africa and was absolutely devastated that Lukas won! As far as I am concerned (& the opinion of all that watched here) it should have been either Dilana or Toby! Lukas has the weirdest stage personality – looks quite spastic sometimes! His songs all sound the same – nothing exciting at all! I would never ever waste my money on seeing one of their shows with him as a lead singer!
